We had fantastic weather on Saturday. The sky was blue and cloudless and the sun was golden and warm. We took Kylie to the park to play with her cousins. We wrote on the sidewalk with easter egg shaped side walk chalk, swung on the swings, and tried to keep Kylie from sampling the barkdust.
It was the perfect day for Kylie's first real day at the park. She is old enough now that she can swing and go on slides (with help) and walk up and down the mounds of grass and dirt. We felt such joy at watching her discover new things and experience a warm Spring day. It really is the little things that make us happy.
Easter Sunday was great. Church was good and it was nice to reflect on Christ's resurrection. We spent the day with family and ate delicious food. Kylie had her first Easter Egg hunt and was introduced to the trampoline at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
It was a great weekend.
It was a great weekend.
As I looked through the photos from the park, it really hit me that my baby isn't all baby anymore. She of course is still very dependent on us to provide for her needs, but she has gained so much independence in the past year, especially the past several months, and it is bitter-sweet to watch her grow and learn and transition from being a baby to being a toddler. It's amazing to witness and it is almost all sweet.
Perhaps this isn't the best expression, but I think it is so cute how Taylor wanted to push Kylie on the swing. He is remarkably good with Kylie and she LOVES him.
FYI: White pants and sidewalk chalk are not the best combo.
Look at her little baby shoes! They kill me.
Strike a pose with cousin Whitney!
Such a big girl.
